@ Airline...membership means ministry
Each Sunday we meet at the Airline building for Bible classes at 9:00 a.m. (pre-school - adults), followed by a worship assembly (10:10 a.m.) in the main auditorium for everyone. A list of classes is available at the Welcome Center in the foyer. A staffed nursery is also available.
On Sunday evenings home Bible study groups meet at various locations in the area. We also have a group that meets in the main auditorium (6:00).
Wednesday evenings we meet at 7:00 p.m. for Bible classes that include all ages. Throughout the year we also have special Wednesday get- togethers called "Summit" in which all the adults meet together for a special worship assembly. The youth group also meets out in the Family Life Center on Wednesdays.
We have two ladies' classes that meet on Tuesday mornings. One class meets @ 9:45 in the Fellow- ship Room, while the other class meets @ 10:00 in the Kirk Room.
Other opportunities for spiritual growth:
What happens during a Sunday worship assembly @ Airline?
Our Sunday morning worship assembly includes:Singing — We believe the greatest instrument God ever created is the human voice. Because of this belief we encourage everyone to join in singing, recognizing that such praise glorifies God and encourages one another in our spiritual walk.
Prayer — We believe that great things happen when people pray together. Each worship assembly has times of prayer scattered throughout.
Communion — This is a time when we remember not only Jesus' death, but also His victory over death. We remember the vow we each made to God in our baptisms, and we remember the unity that we share because of Jesus. All baptized believers are invited to participate.
Bible reading — Since we believe that the Bible is God's spoken Word, we believe it is essential that we read from it and listen when it is read. Each worship assembly has moments when someone reads selected verses from the Bible.
Offering — We believe that God desires for us to make wise decisions about how we use our talents, abilities, and resources. We collect a financial offering each week that enables us to continue to help people through the many ministries in which we are involved.
Message — Our preaching minister gives a biblical message that is practical for our lives. At the end of the message, he gives the opportunity for anyone in attendance to profess faith in Jesus and be baptized, or to ask for prayers
@ Airline Our beliefs are simple ...
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of GodWe believe that Jesus died for our sins and was raised from the dead
We believe that the Bible is God's spoken Word, and it is a sufficient guide for faith and practice
We believe in the grace that is ours because of Jesus dying for our sins
We believe that faith and baptism are how one responds to God's salvation
